Meet Erin Darnley, Anya Gomez, and Ruben Rodriguez—three industry veterans who have been with us from the very beginning. Before Excellos was formed, they spent years at the San Diego Blood Bank (SDBB), developing the expertise that now helps drive our success.

Erin Darnley, Program Director
– A leader in program management, Erin ensures seamless coordination across teams, keeping projects on track and aligning with our clients’ needs. With over 15 years in Blood Banking and specialized certification in the field, Erin brings deep expertise in blood product management. She also possesses extensive molecular diagnostics experience, with both specialties supporting her comprehensive knowledge of assay development, supply chain optimization, and equipment management. Her dual expertise enables end-to-end support for your project from initial cellular processing through patient delivery.

Anya Gomez, Project Coordinator
– A skilled communicator, Anya ensures clarity and alignment between internal teams and external partners, keeping projects running smoothly and efficiently. Starting at SDBB as an administrative assistant, Anya has progressed through several roles over the past 6 years, ultimately becoming a Project Coordinator. With strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, she excels at bridging communication gaps and connecting the dots across the organization. Believing in the value each team member brings to the table, Anya focuses on leveraging everyone’s strengths to ensure project success. Passionate about collaboration and growth, she strives to build strong relationships with our partners and contribute to the team’s ongoing success.

Ruben Rodriguez, Customer Success Manager
– A champion for our clients, Ruben ensures every partnership is built on trust, communication, and excellence. Over the last 16 years, Ruben has helped establish partnerships under his previous Business Development managerial role and since then has collaborated with academics and biotech companies on joint research projects. He masters the company’s product and services catalog and knows what to offer his customers to best support the various research applications, all while managing customer feedback, customer health, and revenue impact. As the CSM at Excellos for 3 years now, he continues to work closely with the Business Development team to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, long-term business growth, and smooth project execution and alignment with customer needs.
